Meeting point

The departure and return points for lessons are at the ski school office in Prapoutel. Depending on the outing and/or weather conditions, the return may be delayed… All information will be provided by the guide before departure!

Service

This season-long programme for teenagers in mountaineering and off-piste skiing is led by a Mountain Guide (Guide de Haute Montagne), who accompanies you throughout all the activities.
The programme includes rope handling, abseiling descents, and off-piste skiing. You’ll also build your safety skills with an avalanche transceiver (DVA). Refine your technique by progressing along ridge-walking routes to gain confidence in alpine terrain.
The experience also lets you discover the mountains from a different angle.
Learn to identify hazards, read them, and respond to them appropriately. Alongside this, you’ll improve your skiing technique across all snow conditions. The whole programme is designed to help you progress while having fun, as well as to deepen your understanding of this unique environment. Finally, activities are adapted to weather and snow conditions to ensure the group’s safety and the quality of each outing.

Groups and levels

Maximum 5 teenagers per group, led by a Mountain Guide.

NB: This programme doesn’t award a medal; the real reward lies elsewhere — far greater once you reach a mountain summit, with memories captured in photos taken by our guides.

Lessons Duration | Number of Sessions

4 sessions of 4 hours, giving you plenty of time to make the most of the mountains.
Sunday 10, 17, 24 and 31 January, 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
€288 for the season, per person.

Ski pass + equipment

Come and practise with equipment you feel comfortable with!

  • Ski equipment and poles suited to the activity (backcountry, all-mountain or freeride). Head to SKiSET PRAPOUTEL to get a discount by mentioning us. No need to book in advance.
  • Helmet compulsory
  • A ski pass is compulsory, as all outings involve using the ski lifts
  • A water bottle and a small snack just in case (energy bar)
  • Clothing suited to the season

We provide:

  • Safety equipment (backpack, avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe), lent by the ski school. Feel free to bring your own if you have it!
  • Mountaineering equipment (rope, ice axe, crampons, harness…), lent by the ski school.
